F1 rule change - again

I thought someone was pulling my leg when they told me this but then the BBC did its job and blogged about it soon after, not sure if I agree or disagree but sometimes there can be too many changes and you are not sure what really broke the system. Anyway this time they have changed the rules so that the driver with the most wins in the season NOT points wins the championship, which would have meant that Lewis Hamilton would not have won last year.

I am looking forward to the other changes they have made this season but was this one just a step too far?

New iPhone software

I have had a iPhone for a week now and just starting to get into the whole experience and culture but reading about the new features coming soon I think Apple will be onto something here.

The only feature I have not read that they will be fixing is meeting invites - something I assumed was so basic when I was sitting in a meeting the other day and tried to create a follow up meeting and add people to it.

Have a read and see the nice screenshots here

IBM/Sun Merger

I really like the idea of these two getting it together, IBM is moving the right way when it comes to open source and the combination of the two could be really powerful.

This article is a good read.

Add a Google News Widget

Google have just announced that you can build your own custom news widget for your site. You are able to select the size, the topics, and the number of articles you want to show - they then generate the code and you copy and paste it onto your site for updated news feeds direct from Google.

The T-Mobile Dance - Best of British

OK I have just watched this and its brilliant, but what it spanks of is the fact that British commercials are just so original! Don’t know why but here in China most commercials are like something from a late night  bad cable channel and somehow if you tried this in America I get the feeling someone would call 911 and that would be the end of it.

Any way check it out.

Dinner at Osteria

Had a very pleasant dinner last night at Osteria last night, the place was full the the brim so we had to wait for a table. Food was good but the service was hit or miss. For example we got asked if we wanted the desert menu which arrived quickly but then no-one followed up and we totally forgot to order desert and ended up just getting the bill and leaving. So I suppose its their loss, and it kept the rather tempting warm pear tart from my growing waist line. Total bill for two including a bottle of wine 630RMB.

USB on a DVD player

OK so perhaps I am the last person in the world to find the USB slot in my DVD player useful but that thing is wicked. Stick in a USB stick filled with what ever you want and the DVD player reads and plays it - loving it!
